Custom Cabinets and Remodeling in Liberty County

Custom cabinets, vanities, built-ins, trim and remodels for homeowners in 10 Liberty County communities.

Liberty County lies northeast of Houston along US 90 and US 59, with the Trinity River running through its center. Ace Kustoms builds custom cabinets, trim and built-ins for homes in Liberty, Dayton, Cleveland, Hardin, Devers and the smaller communities in between. Cabinets are built in our Houston shop and installed by our own crew, so the same people carry your project from the first measurement to the last adjustment.

This is a county of country homes, small towns and growing subdivisions near the Harris and Montgomery County lines. Many projects involve houses on acreage, where homeowners want a farmhouse-style kitchen, solid storage for a mudroom or laundry, and garage or shop cabinets that can take hard use. In the towns, we often update older ranch homes and pier-and-beam houses with new kitchens, vanities and trim fitted to floors that are not quite level.

The process is the same as anywhere we work. We measure in your home, check floors and walls for level and plumb, and talk through how the kitchen, laundry or shop needs to function day to day. You pick from real wood and finish samples. We build from hardwoods and furniture-grade plywood in our Houston shop, install with the team that built the cabinets, and finish with a walkthrough. Our craftsmanship warranty covers joinery and finish.

Homes in Liberty County

Liberty County housing is a mix of older in-town homes, rural houses on acreage and newer subdivisions closer to Houston. Liberty and Dayton have ranch homes and older frame houses, some on pier-and-beam foundations with uneven floors that call for careful leveling during cabinet installs. Country homes and newer builds often have large kitchens, covered porches and big garages or shops. Mudroom and laundry storage, durable garage cabinets and kitchens that suit a farmhouse look are common requests, along with replacing dated cabinets in homes from the 1970s and 1980s.

Climate and materials

The Trinity River bottomland and the county's low terrain bring high humidity and, in some areas, flood risk. We build with plywood boxes and stable doors that tolerate seasonal swings. In homes with pier-and-beam floors, moisture under the house can affect cabinets, so we plan leveling and ventilation details. Garages and shops that are not air conditioned need finishes and hardware chosen for heat and damp air.

Liberty County FAQs

Do you travel out to Liberty County?
Yes. We serve Liberty, Dayton, Cleveland, North Cleveland, Hardin, Devers, Ames, Kenefick, Daisetta, Plum Grove and surrounding rural areas. Cabinets are built in our Houston shop and installed by our own crew. We schedule site visits and installation during weekday hours, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.
Can you install cabinets on a pier-and-beam floor?
Yes. Older homes in Liberty and Dayton often have pier-and-beam foundations, and floors can be out of level by a noticeable amount across a kitchen. We shim and level each base cabinet, scribe to walls, and plan toe kicks so the finished run looks straight. If the floor needs structural attention first, we tell you before building.
Do you build shop and garage cabinets for rural properties?
Yes. Homeowners on acreage often want heavy-duty storage in a garage or shop for tools, feed, sporting gear or equipment. We build from plywood with durable finishes, and we can raise bases off the slab and add work surfaces. These spaces are often not air conditioned, so we choose materials accordingly.
What kitchen styles do you see in Liberty County homes?
Shaker doors, painted finishes with a stained island, and natural wood such as white oak or hickory are common. Many country homes suit a farmhouse look with open shelving, a large island and a deep sink. We bring real samples so you can choose under your own lighting.
Can you combine a laundry room and mudroom?
Yes, and it is a practical choice for country homes where people come in muddy. A combined laundry and mudroom might include a bench, hooks, boot storage, a utility sink and cabinets over the machines. We plan it around how your household actually uses the back door.
Is there an extra charge for working in Liberty County?
Our estimates reflect project size, materials and site conditions. Distance can be a factor for multi-day installs, and we address it upfront in your written estimate rather than adding it later. Call (281) 660-3903 to schedule a free in-home visit and get an estimate for your specific project.
